Article 5!!!

We got an email this morning from our facilitator saying she was able to SURPRISE! get our Article 5 letter today!  This came as a complete shock since we hadn't received word of an appointment.  I think this is just one more way that God is working on behalf of us and because of your prayers.  So, thank you for continuing to pray that this process is expedited and we get our boy home as soon as we can!

update!

Just want to let you all know we got our USCIS approval this week!!  We have only one more form that needs to be signed (hopefully this weekend) and we can get it all notarized, apostilled and shipped.  As of right now our facilitator is waiting to hear form the US Embassy in "B" about our Embassy appointment so that they will issue our Article 5 letter.  Once she has our Article 5, that and our second stage documents will be submitted to the Ministry of Justice...it's about a month wait to have a judge assigned, and then we wait for court.  Normally it's 3-5 weeks after court and we can pick our boy up!

update!

Got the best email ever this morning.  Our dossier is being submitted to the Ministry of Justice on MONDAY!!!!!!!!!  This means we should have our travel dates as soon as next week.  We are praying so much right now for expediency to the proceedings (which we understand to be a formality) and lower airfares than what I'm currently seeing online.

I will be back tomorrow with our Sunday Prayers.  I bet you can guess what #2 is going to be....since Danny is always #1!

news! BIG news!!!

I just called USCIS because I have something I need to send them and didn't know where or who to send it to.  A very nice gentleman answered the phone and gave me all the info I asked for, and he also asked to check the status of our application.  WE HAVE AN OFFICER!!!!!

What does that mean?  1. I know where to send that last form (and already scanned and sent it.) 2. Our officer, Mr. Sobey, will have time in a few days to take a look at it, and hopefully get us our approval in "a week or so." 3. There is light at the end of this tunnel!!!!!  4. We really might get to meet him in November!

Please pray for this part of the process to go quickly, and for Mr. Sobey to hurry up!  I have a very hard time having patience when I know something is so close!

it's probably too early to tell you this...

But I talked to the folks at the FBI today (ps: that still cracks me up!) and got some good news!  Our back ground checks have been completed, and sent to be "sealed." Once the seal has been applied they will be mailed to us, so we should have them by next week!

Also, our social worker called today with some last minute questions since she is working on the final draft of our home study.  She promised commited to get it done so we can be ready to submit our USCIS application in the next two weeks.  This means we are finally making forward progress!!!

**Update on Sunday Prayers**

1. Stephanie Barnett has updated her blog with a short and sweet post...and she had to go to the hospital today, not sure what's up, but something with her foot/ankle.  Please pray she is mobile soon!
2. The Rhodes's insurance is going to cover the damage to the rental property!!  They will pay only a small deductible, so fundraising and saving for the adoption continues.
